Terms and conditions

Making a booking

Adventure Milestone is a government-registered trekking company in Nepal, and we accept your booking under the following terms and conditions.

To book a trip we need a photocopy of your passport and a deposit of 20% of the total amount, which is non-refundable, as security for the company. The balance can be paid on arrival at our office, and full payment is required before the trip departs.

Paying

Payments can be wired to our bank account in Thamel, Kathmandu; ask us for the details. Bank charges for sending a deposit are the responsibility of the client.

You can also pay by credit card on arrival in Nepal. A credit card payment carries a 4% processing fee.

Last-minute bookings

We accept last-minute bookings for trips in Nepal up to 4 days before the start date. Last-minute bookings are not accepted for Bhutan or Tibet.

Risk and liability

We are committed to giving you the best service and to making your journey smooth and pleasant, and every service is provided as agreed between you and us at the time of booking. Tours in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan run strictly under each country's own policies and tourism authority.

Adventure Milestone and its agents are not responsible for changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as government restrictions, landslides, road blockages, floods, avalanches, political unrest, flight cancellations or delays, sickness, accidents or vehicle breakdowns. Any extra cost this causes is borne by the client on the spot, so we strongly advise full insurance against medical and personal accident risk, and trip insurance.

If you cancel

A confirmed booking must be cancelled in writing, by letter or by email. The cancellation is valid once the company has approved it, and 20% of the trip amount is then deducted from the advance paid as a cancellation charge.

An incomplete trip

No refund is made to anyone who does not complete a tour, trek or expedition, for whatever reason.

Postponing

To postpone your trip, send us written notice at least 15 days before the departure date.

If we cancel

If we cancel your trip because of unforeseen circumstances such as war, natural disaster, conflict or bad weather, we will offer you an alternative trip of a similar standard. If that does not suit you, everything you have paid us is refunded. Any other expenses you have incurred as a result of the booking are your own responsibility.

Price changes

We reserve the right to revise the prices in our marketing material and on our website because of factors beyond our control, such as exchange rates or government action. Domestic flight fares in particular change with the price of fuel. We always try to keep our prices current.

Passports and visas

You need a passport valid for at least 6 months from your return date. A Nepal visa can be obtained from the Nepalese consulate in your country, or on arrival at Kathmandu airport.

Travel insurance

You must have comprehensive travel insurance, covering medical costs, personal accident, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost gear, natural disasters, and theft of or damage to baggage and personal belongings.

Flight delays and cancellations

Flights by plane and helicopter to remote areas, particularly the Everest and Annapurna regions, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla, are often delayed or cancelled by the weather or by operational problems.

Where these flights are in your itinerary, carry extra money for food and accommodation in case of a delay. Adventure Milestone is not responsible for these extra costs, or for costs from missed connections, so plan for them.

Your belongings

We are not responsible for loss of or damage to your luggage or belongings, even when they are carried by porters, ponies or vehicles. Your belongings are at your own risk at all times.

During the trip

The guide who represents Adventure Milestone has full authority during your tour or trek. Anyone who commits an unlawful act will be asked to leave the trip, and no refund is made.

Tell us your dates

Tell us how long you have and what you would like to do, and we will plan it with you.
